I am Sam Wright (CO' 2026), and I have been a Goalkeeper in Field Hockey for the last two years. I grew up playing rep ice hockey, always being a quick defenseman that my team could rely on. When I started Field Hockey I quickly translated those skills and learned new ones to turn myself into a high-level club player. Within my first year of field hockey, I was playing up (u19 instead of u16) in tournaments, performing at American festivals, as well as successfully making Team Ontario. My strongest skills are my speed, footwork/clears, and ability to get the third and fourth saves. I have strong leadership, coachability and adaptability skills. I hope to use these skills to be a valuable asset to an NCAA team.
