Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Jordyn MacMillan and I am a 16 year old student athlete at Kennett High School, PA. I have been playing field hockey since fourth grade and I have found a great love for the sport since then. I believe I am a good candidate for your team because of my leadership and great vision on the field. I push through mistakes and encourage myself to do my best and try my hardest. Field hockey is not just a physical game, but a mental one too. Pushing myself and being a good teammate contribute to my level of play. I was a varsity starter on Kennet High School field hockey team both freshman and sophomore year. I am a part of the U16 PowerHouse Field Hockey team and have also been asked to play on the U19 Powerhouse Fieldhockey team as a 15 year old. I switched from Kennett Crush to PowerHouse in 2020 after the indoor season. I also play lacrosse for my high school Varsity team and I am a starting Attach. I have a 4.39 Weighted GPA with Distinguished Honor Roll both freshman year and sophomore year, so far. I am a part of FBLA club and Unicef club. I am excited to continue the recruiting journey and see what my future brings in life and in hockey!
