Personal Statement
Playing field hockey at a collegiate level has always been an aspiration of mine. Coming from a family of educators, I learned at a young age that academics come first and everything else comes second. It is important to me and my family that I find a school that is right for me academically and athletically.
I started playing field hockey in 7th grade on my middle school team. Although we did not have enough players for a JV and Varsity, I started every game as a goalkeeper. So far throughout my high school career, I have played full varsity. For my 2018-2019 school season, I was named as one of the top 100 goalkeepers in the state and within that, I am in the top 50. For my junior season, I finished with 482 saves and was named first-team all-county.
Like many other athletes, I am blessed to have parents who support me and push me to do my best. I am thankful for all they have provided for me and my older brother. Without their unconditional love and support, I would not be as successful as I am today in life and in field hockey.
