I started playing field hockey when I was in third grade, up throughout eleventh grade, and plan on continuing throughout my high school career in hopes to pursue my dream on playing collegiate field hockey. Throughout my years of playing at the Bellows Falls Union High School we have won three consecutive state championships that have affected my point of view on how I see and play field hockey. My freshman year I came into preseason nervous for how much I was needed to give and just hoping to be seen by the coach. I worked very hard and was placed on varsity, although I was not a starter. Not being a starter taught me how to work for what I need, and how not everything will come as a given and easy, yet that I must work for it. I kept working all throughout the year, hoping that my skills will build up and be as strong as my love for the game. I participated in Element athletics throughout the winter, played pickup games throughout the spring, and participated in a camp at UCONN during the summer. Ready for anything when my Sophomore season came I was in shape and prepared, with my hard work and dedication paying off I earned my starting varsity position. Continuing extra work this relayed upon my Junior year also. Where I started every game helping my team earn its third consequtive state championship.
