I began playing field hockey in the eighth grade as a way to meet new people at my new school, and I quickly realized that it was something I enjoyed and wanted to continue. I wanted to get better so I watched youtube videos and practiced in my backyard over the summer, and my hard work paid off when I made varsity as a freshman. My freshmen year I led my high school teams in goals and for the first time in school history, we made it to Virginia State Quarterfinals.
Along with field hockey I also play varsity lacrosse and participate in clubs like MUN, PAC (Positive Athlete Community), and I help coach field hockey and lacrosse clinics in the summer. I take all the honors and AP classes I can possibly take and I am a future IB diploma candidate. I am quite busy with school and sports, but I enjoy what I do and if I could continue playing when I'm older that would be great.
