My name is Abby Sheganoski and I am a field hockey goalkeeper in the class of 2023. I have played field hockey since I was in 6th grade for both my school team and club. I became a goalkeeper after my PE teacher/Field Hockey Coach saw me playing goalie during our handball unit and asked me to try it. I had so much fun in the all the gear and have never looked back. I was even named the starting goalkeeper on my high school varsity team as a freshman and won the Coach's Award!
I am enrolled in a Governor's STEM academy and am looking to earn a degree in a STEM related field. My dream is to attend a university with a well know engineering or business school and play field hockey for a competitive program. I am interested in a few different branches but I can not wait to learn more about them and really decide which is the right fit for me. I am a hard worker who is willing to do what it takes to excel in the classroom and on the field.
