I am a determined student-athlete who aspires to excel in achieving every goal that will advance a successful collegiate experience. I am interested in pursuing a career as a physician with a strong emphasis in sport medicine. Dedicated in obtaining my interest, I will apply the necessary energy to compete academically as well as athletically. In essence I am seeking a higher learning institution that will provide an educational opportunity that will also enhance my athletic experiences.
I believe in the team and I will utilize my gifts to assist the team. The team first philosophy has always being a characteristic that I cannot escape. I am a leader by example. I allow my actions to encourage others, and yes, I am a passionate individual who will challenge those around me to improve in excelling so that they will be the best.
Athletically, I am elusive and versatile. Currently, I serve the team by playing several positions. By being a quick learner, I play several positions which include Running Back, inside receiver, Defensive Back and a returner on the Special Teams! In basketball, I am the point guard on our state championship team.
I believe that all student-athlete should possess a similar attitude toward a challenge. We all have the ability and responsibility to learn how to get better. I have been taught to consistently work hard and focus on developing physically and mentally. I have accomplished in many aspect of my life those things that I have been taught and willing to gain additional knowledge.
As a student-athlete, I am of the understanding that I am a student first. My primary priority is to obtain a degree. Academically, I am currently enrolled in the Advanced Honor courses and I have achieved a 3.6 GPA. I truly believe that great student-athletes are well-rounded, focus and understand the opportunity that college present will last a lifetime. I am a student-athlete who will excel both in sport and in the classroom.
