Personal Statement
When I was a young boy, I would sit and watch the high school games looking out at the team before me planning for my turn many years later. Now that it is my time, I feel that it is my job to be a role model to my team and to the young onlookers like I was once. My job is to set an example in the classroom, on the field, and in public and at home because you never know who is watching and what impact your going to have on someone else's life. I take pride in everything I do and show my leadership and morals through my actions. My favorite sports role model was Jack Dempsey (The Manassa Mauler) who said “A champion is someone who gets up when he can't”. He was truly the best boxer that even Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson looked up to and mirrored his skill. A winner, champion, and a man in general is someone who when knocked down will rise again and again - even if your too weak to keep going, you still rise. No matter what, you slug it out because you never know who is watching, learning, and waiting for his/her time and what impact you will have on the onlookers.
