Winning the Alabama 3A State Championship as a sophomore was, I thought, the highlight of my football career. However, losing by two points in the 3rd round play-off game my junior year (2019) made me realize that winning doesn't last. I knew at that point I would have to push myself harder than ever before by working out more often, practicing with greater focus and determination, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I've learned a great deal from both winning and losing in my football career. This not only benefits me in football, but in all areas of my life. I have learned to be a better leader and a teammate. It has also affected me in the classroom because I've realized that what I put into something is what I get out of it.
