Gavin Davis '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Gavin Davis, and I am a Defensive Back who will graduate in 2023. I live in Florence, Alabama, and attend Central High School where I play cornerback for the Central Wildcats and have started since I was a sophomore. Football has been one of the biggest parts of my life ever since I was six years old. I want to continue playing football outside of high school and be able to compete at the highest level. 

I enjoy playing football because of the competitive person that I am and the thrill that I get on Friday nights. I am extremely hard-working and will do whatever it takes to succeed on the field and in the classroom. My team attended a weight meet in Winfield, Alabama, and I placed first on the bench press portion and second overall in my weight division. In the past four months, I have worked towards building more muscle and gained close to 30 pounds. I have also increased my speed and shaved nearly two-tenths of a second off my 40 time. I am on the honors track at my high school and challenge myself with advanced classes and dual enrollment courses.
