Personal Statement
I have been honored to attend and play football for Wilson High School as it has taught me many things. First, we were taught that good grades come first. One of our coaches used to always say “do what you’re supposed to do, when you’re supposed do it.” The saying goes a long way in my beliefs of being a student before an athlete. Second, this past season was the first time in 4 years we did not make the playoffs. Personally, as a player, this made me want to keep playing because you never want to end on a bad note. Especially after you taste success. Because of these things, I believe that I have the drive to do whatever is necessary to excel in every aspect of being a student athlete.
