Seth Reburn '16 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6’0” 170lb Senior at Gardendale High School, Gardendale, AL.  I have been starting on varsity since my freshman year.  During this past season, I was responsible for all kickoffs and long distance field goals.  For my Senior season I was responsible for all kicking duties. My team was fortunate to go to the quarter-finals of the 6A playoffs.  I have attended several kicking camps as well as having some individual coaching.  I have attended Kohl’s Kicking Camps and have competed at the final competition level at those camps. Due to my performance at these camps, I have received invitations to both the National Invitational Scholarship Camp (Summer 2014, Summer 2015) and Underclassman Challenge (Jan 2015).  Kohl’s currently ranks me with a 4.5 star rating.(http://kohlskicking.com/profile/seth-reburn/8426/). I have worked diligently to improve my kicking abilities and continue to review film and practice to fine-tune my consistency and versatility.  At the end of my team's season, I was ranted 2nd in punts, 3rd in PATS, 3rd in Kick scoring and 4th in Kickoffs for Alabama according to MaxPreps. I was named as 2nd Team State All-Start team for 2015.  I go beyond the role of kicker and believe in being a well rounded team player as noted in my 8 tackles and 1 fumble recovery this season.

Academically, I carry a 4.0 (weighted) GPA in AP Classes and enjoy sciences classes.  I believe it is important to be well rounded in both academics as well as athletics.  I want to attend a college that allows me the ability to excel in the classroom as well as on the field.

I have shown my versatility having played numerous sports; basketball, baseball, soccer and football since childhood.  I have played baseball, basketball and soccer during my high school career.  I now focus on football and soccer to continue to build leg strength and kicking control.

I am a hard worker and understand that improvement in any personal endeavor required dedication, concentration and determination.  I feel I am a very coachable player and have an understanding of the overall football program having played both offensive and defensive positions prior to concentrating on just a kicking career.
