My career Varsity stats are now: 119-171 (70%) 2,226 yards 23 TD's and 0 INTS. Rushing is now at 609 yards and 8 TD's. My goal is to follow my brother and father as a D 1 player. My father played for Texas Tech as a quarterback and my older brother played quarterback at Troy University. They have both prepared me mentally and physically for what it takes to play at a high level of football. I try to be the pace setter in the weight room, and on the field, and I work extremely hard in the classroom, having never made a grade below an A. I ranked 18 of 204 students on my transcript. I have worked very hard to get my measurables to the D 1 level, obtaining a 37 inch vertical and a 9' 6" broad, and ran a 4.8 laser time at the VTO Elite 100 in Alabama. I measured 6' 2 1'2" at Ole Miss and Memphis this past summer and weigh 204 pounds. I have increased my bench press to 285 pounds and my goal is to reach 300 by the summer. My Power Clean is currently 225 pounds and I am working toward 250 on it.I know that hard work gets rewarded, and eventually the offers will come. What I know most is the first offer is the hardest to get. It was the same for my brother. I will also never forget what he told me, that the team that extends that first offer, is the one that wants you the most! I have traveled to camps everywhere from Michigan, to Ohio, to North and South Carolina, to Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. I am just looking for the chance to show what I can do. At the U.S. Army All American Combine this summer I competed against 83 quarterbacks. Twenty-seven would have been considered "DI Prospects" based on height of 6' 2" or taller. In the vertical jump, my score was #1 of those 27. My bench press was also #1 of 27. My pro agility shuttle was #3 of 27, and my 40 was #7 of 27. Against all 83 quarterbacks, my vertical (#3), Bench (#4), and shuttle (#9) were all in the top 10 of all 83 quarterbacks who participated. I have included video on my vertical, bench, broad and such on my unverified video along with additional game film. I keep my HUDL film updated regularly (including combine testing and game film) and the link is http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2413084/highlights/51479376 as well as Combine Testing Film, 7 on 7 Film, and other vital info at http://www.theplay-book.com/athletes/blake-wilkes/
