Personal Statement
I am Solomon ‘Miles’ Clark; I’m a 6’3 220 pound tight end, inside receiver, defensive end, and two year starter for Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, Alabama. I possess leadership qualities, great work ethic, as well as the physical and mental ability necessary to be a student-athlete at the college level. I have maintained a 3.75 CORE GPA on a 4.0 scale from Ninth through Eleventh grade while taking Advanced Placement courses to meet the requirements for an advanced diploma with honors. I am looking for a school where I can find the right balance between the classroom and field as I look to major in Electrical or Civil Engineering. Being a three sport athlete throughout high school has taught me to become self-disciplined and how to manage my time wisely in order to maintain my high standards on and off the field, which are necessary for the college student-athlete. Most importantly, playing sports has taught me that the greatest rewards in life are not for selfish reasons, but for the greater good of the team. I believe my best fit would be at the DI level, although I have no problem playing for DII or NAIA with quality academics. I will be happy with any team that is happy to have me as a part of their program.
