Personal Statement
My name is Allen England, and I play football at Dale County High School in Midland City, Al. I've been playing high school football since my tenth grade year and every year I've pushed myself more and more to get better. I didn't get much playing time until the end of my tenth grade season where my team and I made it to the first round of the state play offs. Getting beat as bad as we did made me want to strive to do better and have a starting position the next year. As the next spring training came around my coaches and I noticed a dramatic change in my quickness and strength. Since that spring I've been starting left tackle. My eleventh grade season went well ending undefeated in regular season and making it to the second round of the state play offs. Now I've been working harder than ever, both in the weight room and during our running programs.
I would like to go to college and major in sports medicine. The medical field has always interested me and over the past year and a half I've realized that I love sports. I've maintained good grades in my classes throughout my entire school career. I've been taking honors classes ever since they've been available. Not only am I competitive in sports but also in school. Having good grades is very important to me so I make sure i always have A's and B's.
I believe that I would be a good player for a team because of my work ethics. I don't have to have someone pushing me to do better. I'm a leader; I want my team and I to have the best possible season, and the only way for that to happen is to make sure everyone is doing their job.
