Personal Statement
My current academic goals for high school and college are to continue to excel in my schoolwork and gain the knowledge that will follow me throughout my lifelong journey and career. I became interested in football when I was 3 years old. I watched college and NFL games and I knew then that’s what I wanted to do. So, I did what it took to become a great player, I put my mind and focus on learning the sport.
I have had to overcome some obstacles to get where I am today from surgery, to school, and getting physically in shape. I knew the road would not be easy and I knew with hard work, determination, and dedication I would be able to overcome all obstacles that came my way. Football has taught me that I am able to do anything I want to do and be successful at it, it has taught me that when you fall or fumble in life on and off the field to get back up try harder, push forward, and never quit so that I may reach my ultimate goal.
When I attend college, I envision my years there to be a personal growth period. On the football field, I will be a dynamic team player and a positive influence on and off the field to others. I hope to grow mentally and physically throughout my college career, I will be a strong asset to my football team. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor, integrity, and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself will reflect my team, coaches, and the school that I will attend. I owe it all to those in my life that have and continue to influence me each day such as my mother, coaches, and teachers.
