My name is Theophilus McBurnette. I am Tlingit Native, from Alaska. I am also half Haitian.
I'm 17 years old and was born and raised in Alaska within my Tlingit culture. I'm Eagle, Bear and Killer Whale.
Being raised within the Tlingit culture is very different from other households. It's all about respect. Respect for elders, teammates, family, animals and the nature around us. Discipline is strict.
I am a captain of the football team. My first time at starting QB was my sophomore year, I've had the starting position ever since.
I am a 5'10" Quarterback from Ketchikan, Alaska. In addition to playing Quarterback in the past I have played both safety and Cornerback. Upon being named the starting Quarterback, my Sophomore year, my head coach felt it was in the best interest of the team that I stop playing defense. I feel with my athletic ability I would be able to and willing to play either offense or defense at the next level depending on the needs of the team.
I am looking for a college football program where I can find the right balance between the classroom and the football field. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an impact for the team.
