Personal Statement
As the elder of two siblings, I have been privileged to have a mother who has gone above and beyond to ensure our success in life. My journey in football began at the age of seven when my family resided in Illinois. Unfortunately, due to family challenges, I had to take a break from football when we relocated to Arizona. I resumed playing at the age of nine, weighing 130 pounds. However, I was informed that to play, I had to lose 15 pounds and weigh 115 pounds. I had less than three weeks to achieve this goal, but my unyielding determination drove me to do so.
Throughout the years, I have had to overcome numerous obstacles to play football, including playing with older kids because of my size. However, this has made me a more resolute and accomplished player. My ambition is not only to excel on the field but to also enhance my teammates' skills. Winning is a significant objective, but it is not the sole purpose of my passion for football. My education is equally crucial, and I have aspirations of pursuing a career in sports medicine. This will enable me to help others achieve their best and make it to the field, even when I am no longer able to play.
