Personal Statement
My name is Jett Uzzell, and I am from Chandler, Arizona. I attend Arizona College Preparatory High School. My school is consistently ranked among the best high schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. Founded on academic rigor and strong discipline with values of hard work and grit. Because of this, I have excelled in academics, sports, and community service.
I am an athlete that has exceled at many sports; however, my passion is for football and my position as a kicker/punter. I am a four (4) star ranked kicker by Kohl’s Kicking. I have been named Special Teams Player of the Year for three (3) years in row. My senior year I was named 1st Team All-Metro, 2nd Team All-Conference, and Honorable Mention All-District for Chandler Unified Schools. Over my Varsity career, I have been named Player of the Game five times. Highly ranked as a kicker/punter in the state, I feel I can bring my talent to your team. I feel I have strong alliances and relationships with my community. Having volunteered with Saint Mary’s Food Bank, Saint Vincent DePaul, and other food banks in my area. Furthermore, I travel to Mexico with my family to provide clothing, food, and other toiletries to those in need.
In school I participated in DECA and competed in several events and even finishing in the top four for my entrepreneurial idea/category. As a senior, I am achieving a 3.3 GPA.
Overall, I am a strong-minded athletic leader both on and off the field. I wish to perform at the next level and make a positive difference in your program.
