My name is Connor Collins, and I am in the class of 2017 at Basha High School in Chandler, AZ. I have a twin brother Cody and we both play wide receiver. In Arizona we play for a consistent top 10 team in the largest school division (Divison 1 in AZ). Each week we face teams with top college prospects and we have the benefit of having one of the best Quarterbacks in the state on our team. I have played both outside receiver and slot and can also play safety on defense.
We have been around football for as long as I can remember. My Dad is a high school coach at Basha High school and has coached the wide receivers and running backs on the varsity level. Being a "Coach's kid" is never easy, so my Dad has made sure we work harder than everyone to earn our spot on the field. I love the weight room. I run track in the spring, and train with an arena football coach in the offseason to work on route running and footwork. I also have a younger brother who is a quarterback, so we also run routes for him when he works with his quarterback coaches. In college I am undecided on what to study. I would like to study either exercise and wellness or business. I will be taking my SAT and ACT tests this coming year in high school and in my current semester I have a 3.3 GPA.
If you are looking for a hard working wide receiver who is willing to work hard on the field, in the classroom and in the weight room I would love the opportunity to play football in college.
