2015 HighlightsPersonal Statement
My name is Thor Hungerford and I am a Senior at Mountain View High School in Mesa Arizona. When I was a child, my father coached football at Mountain View High School. I remember he used to drag me along to the practices to watch the older boys. Those are some of my fondest memories of being a child. I remember my dad telling me stories of all the great times he had playing football at Temple University. Playing against teams like Alabama and Florida State Seminoles changed his life. Those stories are what fuel me so that I too can play football and have my own stories of the amazing adventures. I want to pass on my fathers legacy and hopefully my own to my kids of what it is like to play football at the college level.
After college I will be joining the Marines. I believe it is important to support my country. I have a strong work ethic, a never give up spirit and thrive in a team environment. I currently am the football captain at Mountain View voted by my peers.
Just saw sports medicine doctor for check-up. Had x-rays done and doctor predicts few more inches of growth. Growth plates are still open.
