Anthony Franklin '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Anthony Franklin I’m a 6’3” 220 lbs. freshman at Pinnacle High School in Phoenix, Arizona. I have four brothers close in age that all play football. I come from a football family. My father played at Brown University, my uncle played at Harvard, and my grandfather played at Arizona State University. It has been my goal to play college football since watching the 2012 Stanford versus Oklahoma State Fiesta Bowl.

I have been playing tackle football since I was eight. My youth teams won state three times. I was a Freshman Team Captain and I am the only Freshman this year that has been pulled up to Varsity. As a Freshman player, I led the team in sacks (14 in 9 games). I have played Center, Defensive Tackle, Guard and Defensive End. I started on both Offense and Defense at a 6A school. I’m highly coachable and give it 110% at both practice and games.  

In my off season, I’m a multi-sport athlete playing basketball at Pinnacle on their Freshman team. I grew up playing baseball, golf, football and competitive basketball. I also workout at Scottsdale Combine five days a week improving my strength and running technique. I work as a referee on Saturdays and I recently volunteered to help coach a youth flag football team. I have done all this while maintaining a 4.6 GPA taking Honors classes in all subjects. 

I am looking for a highly academic school that has a competitive athletic program
