My name is Joshua Michael Jones. I believe in faith, family, hard work, and perseverance. My typical week is football practice, training, youth group on Wednesday nights, working Saturday, and spending time with friends and family.
Football didn’t interest me until my 6th-grade year, though my family is a “football family”. That year I decided to join the team and I immediately loved football. My desire was to be the best player I could be, but I didn’t know how to get there. So Dad and I had a talk. He discussed lifting, running, practicing, and making good grades. Dad said I need to work as hard as I can and let GOD take care of the rest. So ever since then, that’s what I have been doing.
I have had some obstacles, ups, and downs, along the way. My parents divorced. That and all the changes that come with it was difficult. Things haven’t always worked out the way I wanted, but I keep pressing on. That’s a good characteristic of mine, I don’t give up.
I would love the opportunity to play on a college team. I’ll take any offers I can get. It has always been my dream, to play college football and be the best I can be. If recruited, I will give all the time I need to get better. Though football is a big part of my life, I need an education. My interests are in drafting and design. This will be a good opportunity for me to get an education while playing the sport I love. Thank you.
