Personal Statement
My older siblings have been a major source of inspiration and motivation. Both earned the opportunity to compete at the college level (football & cheer). I have used the Covid-19 school shutdown as an opportunity for me to get faster and improve my footwork. I’ve gotten stronger in all my lifts, and I lowered my 40 time to 4.6. I feel very confident that I can thrive in a variety of positions, defense, special teams, as well as carrying the ball. I understand the value of teamwork, commitment, and sacrifice. Being a good supportive teammate is important whether you are on the sidelines or on the field. I am very confident in my hands and precise route running to catch throws that come my way. I am most proud of my efforts in the classroom with a 3.9 GPA and a score of 23 on my ACT (9th grade).
As I grow physically and academically the next 2 years, I will be working to help my teammates and school win a state championship in football, basketball, and track. I will also be working hard to explore my college options. From working on our family farm, to keeping the grind going during Covid-19, I understand hard work, discipline, and what it takes to stay motivated. My experiences, character, work ethic, and talent are ready to benefit some college program and will be the stepping stones for my future.
