Luis Andrade '19 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Luis Andrade. I am currently a Junior at Calexico High School. Throughout my athletic career I have been involved in multiple sports such as Baseball, Basketball, Track & Field, and of course, Football. I have been playing Football for 9 years. I play mainly Strong Safety but I can also be a dual-threat athlete at the Wideout and Slotback position. I am a versatile athlete and can adjust to any position. Being involved in sports my whole life has thought me how to manage my school work along with sports. It has always been a dream of mine to play football at the collegiate level.

As for off the field goals, my main goal is to attend a four-year university. I would want to major in Psychology to become a Forensic Psychologist or a Educational Psychologist. Another option I would want to consider is to study in Criminal Justice to become a Crime Scene Investigator.

What makes me a good candidate for your school is that I am a very hard working student-athlete. I work very hard on and off the field and I do not give up until I achieve my goals. I dream about playing college football everyday but I also find it very important to come out with a degree so I am ready to work when I graduate college. What makes me different from other recruits is my leadership and my winning mentality. I lead by example and I always try to make those around me better. I am constantly motivating all my teammates to work hard in practice, weightroom, and in class. I understand that teamwork is everything in winning and that is why I build great chemistry around my team and always cheer them up through the ups and downs. Academically, I study every night to keep my grades high because so are my expectations for myself. I also volunteer to help coach a middle school 7 on 7 tournament and I am in an afterschool program known as “Upward Bound” which provides certain categories of high school students better opportunities for attending college.

I know I can be a good fit for any school athletic wise, academic wise, and also for the community. I look forward on hearing from you soon and I can tell you more about myself!
