Ryan Bernstein '12 Recruiting Profile

One of the most exhilarating experiences I've been able to participate in during high school has been playing football. It requires strength not only physically, but mentallly and emotionally as well. I have been toughened, strengthened, and conditioned to play hard and play smart no matter what the scoreboard says. " Start Fast &Finish Strong." is what our coach instilled in us. On top of being one of the greatest experiences I've had, football has definitely been one of the most grueling and demanding. I come to practice ready to go to war, to run until my feet are calloused and hardened, and to hit until my arms are black and blue, all so when Game Day comes around it seems like I've been ready my whole life. Football has taught me what it means to actually apply all of yourself into something. All aspects of my life need to be toughened and stregthened to perform on that field. This sport has helped me learn to work hard so when game day (Friday Night-Saturday or hopefully even Sunday afternoon) comes along I will be fully confident and prepared. I am driven to be the best at what I put my mind to. I currently am 6' 235lbs and running a 4.56 40 yard dash. I am lifting over 365lbs and have a 34+ verftical leap. I take my education very seriously and  carry a 4.10 GPA. I am looking forward to playing very competitive football  while  striving to earn my Civil Engeneering degree. I have a strong commitment to giving back and plan on using my degree so that I can travel the world to build communities for people in need.
