Personal Statement
I am Preston Carr out of Chino Hills, California. I am a senior, student - athlete from Don Antonio Lugo High School located in Chino, California. I put a big emphasis on student being first. I have managed to maintain a GPA throughout high school of 3.6. Hard work and dedication are the two main focuses I have when I do anything. I am a 6'2" athlete, who has played numerous position depending on where my skills are needed the most in order for our team to achieve our goal. I have played 3 years of varsity football, in addition to my freshman year when I suited up with the varsity during CIF Playoffs. In my sophomore season, I received honorable mention in my conference. Junior year, I achieved 1st Team All-Conference, received the team MVP Award and the Scholar-Athlete Award for having the highest GPA on the team. With my senior year concluding, thus far, I have received All League Defensive MVP. I expect to receive more awards at our football banquet.
I am looking for an institution that shows the best balance between the classrooms and the football field. I would like to attend a university that has a high academic reputation in the study of architecture, business, or finance. Athletically, I would like to join a program where I can make an instant impact on the team. I believe that I have what it takes to be a part of a Division 1 University program; however, I am open to any and every opportunity that is afforded to me and will be a great asset.
