The youngest of three boys, I was taught at very young age that getting upset or angry would not help beat my twin brothers’. Instead, playing harder and putting time into practice made me better and more competitive, not just against my brothers', but at all levels of competition. This lesson served me particularly well the last year of my junior program where I found myself on a team of 13 players. A losing season, as we were always out manned and exhausted, taught me more about the game and my ability to adapt. I think it helped me develop the mental toughness to succeed at many of the positions my coaches have needed me to fill throughout the years.
I am looking for a school to help prepare me both on and off the field. There will eventually be a time when my football playing days will end and the education I receive during my college years will be the building blocks of my long-term success. But until that time comes, I want to play football! I am looking for a program that can make me a better player and hopefully I can help make theirs a better team.
