Personal Statement
Winning league my junior year has so far been the greatest part of my high school football career. Although this was a great accomplishment, losing our semi final game in playoffs really helped me to rethink myself as an athlete and a teammate. Losing a big game really helps you to appreciate and gain a stronger love for the game. It motivated me to work harder and be the best player for my team. During my first year of high school I played freshman ball and struggled to get a starting spot the entire year. My next year as a sophomore I was starting on our varsity team. All my life it has been a dream of mine to play football in college and it was at this time where I dedicated myself to that.
I have been blessed to be able to play football at the school that I go to, considering that we have had a great competitive team the past few years. My sophmore year I started at full back on a very talented team who wasn't able to make it very far in playoffs. It wasn't until my junior year where I found my home at defense and with my hard work I became a captain this year. Being able to play in college has not only been an athletic dream of mine but and academic one as well. I have never second guessed that college was my next step after high school and being able to play the sport I love just makes it all the better. I believe that I have the physical and mental ability to play football in college and I would love the opportunity to do it.
