My name is Cameron Eden, class of 2019. I am currently attending Edison High School in Huntington Beach, CA in the county of Orange. Wearing the team's #1 jersey, I was 2-way Varsity starter at ILB/OLB/FB for both my junior and senior seasons. I just finished my senior season with 95 tackles and with over 200 varsity career tackles. I was awarded the 1st team All Sunset League Lineback for 2018 (2 years in a row) and also the varsity linebacker of the year 2018. In my junior year I was also awarded 1st team ALL SUNSET LEAGUE LINEBACKER FOR 2017. In my junior year I was #2 leading tackler on our team and that included one pick-6 to win a varsity game, 3 sacks, 2 interception, 2 TDs and over 100 tackles on the season(TOP 3 in Sunset League). I value very much are family, academics, and good character. In fact, I was the winner of the “Character” award on my freshman football team. I will never give up my love for the game of football and what I can bring to the field. I am currently 5’10” at 205 lbs. but still can pound out a 4.8 forty and a 4.0 shuttle. I have been playing tackle football for 10 years and my love for the game has never diminished. I have always been a two-way starter. I am a student of the game, always learning. I have offered, and will continue to offer, my team great leadership and hard work ethics. I will push my teammates making them better each play. I am one of the clear leaders on my defensive team. It has always been my dream to play football at the collegiate level that will find a perfect balance between the classroom and the field. On your college field, I will strive to hopefully gain your respect, prove to you and get some playtime as a freshman. I am not a person who gives up when the going gets rough. Instead I look at it as a challenge and take it head on. I am always persevering and using my leadership skills to inspire my teammates. My team is like my family; they always come first. I am working hard in the years to come to become the high caliber player you are looking for. I would love to pursue a university with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of business. I believe that I will make a giant athletic and academic impact at whatever school I attend. Thank you very much for your time.
