Personal Statement
There are many things that have influenced me and made me who I am. One of those things is my faith in God as I am a Christian which has been a big part of my life ever since I was little. That and my family have helped guide me to be the responsible and respectful leader I am today.
I have been playing football ever since I was little, but I haven’t always played quarterback. All through Pop Warner I played offensive and defensive line. Then my freshman year at Orange Lutheran High School I was moved to quarterback position at the request of my coach and I took on the challenge. My parents got me a QB trainer and I excelled.
Football has taught me with the right mindset and drive, you can get through the toughest of times. Playing for one of the top schools in the nation I have experienced what it takes to be successful. It’s not easy but it is rewarding when you see hard work pay off. I have played many different positions (offensive and defensive line, linebacker, quarterback, tight-end, and receiver) and have a respect for all of them. This has helped me be a better quarterback because I relate to different positions on the field and helps me communicate with my teammates better. Football has brought out the leader in me. I am proud to say I was able to help lead my team this year to quarterfinals in CIF playoffs. The previous year, when I was not at the school, the team had only won two games and hadn’t been to CIF since 2010.
Academically I am focused on learning all I can, grow my experiences for college and be the best student I can be. I enjoy school and am taking a business entrepreneurial college course which is in line with my future goals. I plan to get a degree in business and finance, then help my mom grow her business.
When I’m not playing sports or working on homework, I enjoy my friends, photography and playing the guitar.
