My name is Joe Roberts, Senior, Varsity Kicker and Punter for Woodbridge High School in Irvine, California. I am 6'1" and 195 lbs. I played starting Varsity as the kicker/punter for 2 years and starter for the JV team in 2007. I am currently ranked with the Chrissailerkicking.com Organization and have been with them since January, 2008. I have had personal training with them as well as 3 National competitions with them in Las Vegas and local competitions in LA, their home base. I was printed up in the LA TIMES on September 3, 2009 as 1 of the top 10 kickers in Southern California which I was excited about. I competed and won the West Coast Kicking Head to Head competition in April, 2009 with 32 college bound kickers. I went to 4 camps this summer, UCLA,UCS, SDSU, and Washington State University. The USC camp offered a Head to Head competition among 100 other kickers and I was left with one other competitor making a 57 yard field goal and hitting the cross bar on the 60 coming in 2nd place. It was great with all the great kickers and Coach Carroll cheering us on! I was awarded the Specials Team Player of the Year for 2008 for my school and was excited about that. I am kicking off the ground as you can see on the videos as well as on YouTube under "Joe Roberts Kicking Videos," opening with a 57 yard field goal. I love this game. Our team has played 3 games and we are 1-2, and we hold our heads high every game! I am 100% with my PAT's, 69 yards average on all of touchbacks and all kickoffs are touchbacks, I have made 2 field goals, a 45 and a 47 yard field goal, and my punting average is around 39 yards, rugby style left or right footed. While I am on the side lines, I get the time to talk to the players that are working their tails off and high five them and encourage them. Our team has a great deal of comradery and this is what football or any sport is all about. I work out with the team daily, go to the gym and work out by myself daily, personal kicking lessons once a week, get a lot of sleep, and drink a lot of water and powerade and eat good food. This game has taught me to be very disciplined and I make time for studying as I know that this is very important for my future as well. I do have time for fun and I enjoy hanging with my friends. I just started golfing which I really like. I need money for that game, but I really like it. I want to go to a big school with great spirit for their sports teams! I am listed under Chrissailerkicking.com as Definite D1 prospect with a strong leg and good head. So, my goal is to get into a D1 school. Geographically, I don't mind where I go, the size is my greatest desire. It stated in the LA TIMES when I was mentioned as 1 of the top 10 kickers for Southern California that I work well under pressure, and I do. I go into my head zone and get the job done. I concentrate and let nothing bother me that is going around. I have been religiously watching college football and notice of course all the kicking and the PAT's and field goals. This year I have noticed how many games have been won by that extra point being made or that field goals that were completed. Then, you look at some of the losses and you notice that it is that extra point or that field goal that is missed and I realize that job has to get done 100% of the time because it can make or break the game. I am telling you, if I get into your school I will be first grateful but then I will offer you MY VERY BEST ALL THE TIME! That is what it takes to be a winning team! Thank you very much and I will guarantee my all!
