Kyle Steffes '10 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'3" Kicker/Punter from Lancaster, CA. I will be kicking and punting for the Antelope Valley Mauraders this 2010 fall. I began kicking and punting when I joined the Paraclete football team my junior year and made the Varsity team as both kicker and punter. Also winning both local and state honors. After my senior season I was honored to make the Div.lll Max Prep. All-State First team as both Kicker and Punter, as well as many other awards. My overall GPA following my senior year is 3.02. I really dedicated myself to academics this past year and am pleased to say I have made the 09-10 Academic honor roll with a GPA of 3.8. I have taken the SAT: Reading/Math (1070), the ACT (23) and both the History and Math 2 SAT ll's. I attribute my success as an athlete to the many years of hard work and dedication I gave to playing soccer at the regional and national levels. I began playing soccer at a very young age, and since the age of 12 I traveled 120 miles round trip, several times a week to play on a team that allowed me to compete at the highest levels Southern California had to offer. My parents have taught me to be successful I need to set goals and adhere to a standard of dedication and commitment to working hard at whatever I do to achieve those goals. I am looking to attend a college or university in which I can further my football career on the collegiate level and obtain a bachelors degree. I have not decided on an exact major, but am currently leaning toward Respitory Therapy, Kinesiology for Athletics or Sports Management.
