I received a scholarship to play at the University of Sioux Falls out of high school where I redshirted the 2012 season and started at nickelback during the 2013 season. I was experiencing a lot of success at USF and was quickly climbing through the ranks. However, when my defensive coordinator and position coach, Robert Tucker, received the head coaching job at West Hills JC in Coalinga, CA, a mere 45 miles from my hometown, I jumped at the opportunity to follow him and continue playing under him.
I am a safety by trade but have a lot of tools that allow me to be a versatile player anywhere in the defensive backfield. I have solid man skills on the outside or in the slot, I have the range to play deep zone, and am also comfortable and effective down in the box. Last season particularly, I had the opportunity to develop my skills as a pass rusher. I am a play maker that will excel anywhere that you need me. At USF I also frequently took reps at corner, and in fact spent my redshirt season playing corner on the scout team to develop man skills. I have good hips, speed, eyes, and body control and I pride myself on being a smart player. I take authority in the defensive backfield and excel under pressure.
I will graduate from West Hills in December 2014 with two AA degrees while having earned over 90 credits. I currently have a 3.96 collegiate GPA and one day hope to be a doctor.
