Personal Statement
I started playing football when I was 10 years old, that same season my team won the championship and that is where I started to love football. Growing up with only one parent for the most of my childhood made me very independent and tough, but also helped me grow as a person and be a very attentive, persistent, and hard-working person on the field and in the classroom.
I was fortunate enough to be part of an amazing program, winning 1st place in Moore League every year of my high school career. Long Beach Poly helped me learn the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character to lead a team as well. As a three-sport athlete, I know I have what it takes to make an immediate impact on your program.
The 2018-19 season was my first year ever running Track and Field. The track program at Long Beach Poly taught me many things. For example, the reward is a lot more worth the pain it took to get there, and that all of the responsibility is yours, but so is the success. This year I was the Moore League Champion in the 100-meter dash, the 4x1 relay, 4x4 relay, and second place in the 200-meter dash. My PR's for this season are were an 11.43 100, and a 22.34 200.
