The most important things I believe that make me a good candidate for a program are my commitment to my academics, my passion for the game of football, and my focus on being a great teammate & leader. My overall goal is to find the right school and environment for my continued growth as a student, athlete and individual. I've been playing football since I was six years old, and it has taught me about leadership, competition, friendships and commitment but most importantly hard work. As a captain of my varsity football team, I have to set the standard for effort and commitment in the classroom, in the weight room, and on the field. That is a responsibility I embrace and envision will continue in college for any program who gives me an opportunity. What makes me different from others and possibly other recruits across the country is that I like competition, I'm not afraid of competition or playing in big games. I play my best when I am challenged by others. Also, I don't seek attention or the spotlight. I've been taught that the spotlight will come if you work hard enough. I believe my best efforts on the football field and in the classroom will speak for themselves. I take pride in maintaining a high GPA, and know that my grades are key to my college hopes. My academic focus will always be my priority next to football. As for character, I strive to be a man of high integrity. To me that means, do everything right even when it's easier not to. I accept that I should be an example to others, and as a QB, I am expected to be a leader. I accept that responsibility because I know it makes me a better person and football player.
