I'll start off my introduction with my name is Maurice Martin, and I'm altogether just different from most. I have been in good life positions, and in life positions that most would not be able to handle. I'm from a place where majority of young black males don't make it far, whether their end comes in death. jail, or prison . . . It's usually one of the two. Since I was forced to grow up fast when I was young, and my mother put me in a better situation I can reflect on what was. Everyone I grew up with, and majority of my family members are still in the same position. So since I was blessed enough to be talented when it comes to sports and school I feel like I owe it to my people to make it. I have never had a hand out when it came to sports, I have always been the under dog. It's a struggle, but it's a beautiful struggle, and I love it. The main reasons I feel I am different is because I'm smart, athletic, usually by myself, not really social, and dedicated. I'm a natural underdog, if I get an opportunity to prove people wrong, and make sure my people are good, I will.
