Personal Statement
I have always loved football. Even when I was little I knew that I would want to be playing football. Although I started playing football as a freshman I was moved up to varsity. But when I did play on freshman we went undefeated. This taught me a lot about myself and who I am. It has taught me that I am a team leader. I like to encourage others to do their best even when they feel like they have nothing left in them. I also am a trustworthy player. I am always counted on, I always do my part whenever I step on a football field. I have also been been shown to be a very coachable player. I understand what a coach wants and I execute it. I have also learned what losing feels like. losing on varsity has taught me many things. When playing on varsity the standards are very high. It is nothing like playing freshman football. On varsity I was tested and learned that I am able to compete at a very high level athletically and mentally. Losing taught me that I am able to recover and bounce back better and more athletic than I was before. I have also learned that losing is a way of teaching a team. It shows what our team must improve upon.
