I feel my experiences growing up have helped mold me into the student & athlete I am today. I am a hard working and team oriented player. I was a very big kid and so could never make the weight limits for Pop Warner football. Today I am 6’6’’ 315 offensive linemen and am listed in Max-Preps Top 100 for class of 2013. Instead of playing Pop Warner, my Dad had me participate in basketball, starting as early as the 3rd grade. By the time the seventh and eight grade roll around, I was on the Top AAU travel team in California and was consider one of the Top Centers in my age group in the state. However, my earlier years in basketball were sometimes difficult. During those early days (8-10 year old teams) teams were very guard oriented and the big guys were usually along for the ride. I spend a lot of time on the bench with very limited playing time. However, I was always glad to be with my teammates. As we grew up things changed. The forwards and Centers started having more of an impact on the game and I started to become critical to our team’s success. I feel all those early years of running lines with fast guards made me a nibble footed big guy! The early days of patiently sitting on the bench made me appreciate that even I could support the team.
When I finally started playing football, I took to it like a duck to water. I found that my size and strength could be us to pancake opposing players. I feel I am a true team player. I have been on the bench and know that with time and hard work success will always come your way. I know my teammates made my early days fun and made me feel a part of the team. They always wanted me around in case the other team had a big guy! I am looking for a program that offers: great tradition and a large fan base, an academic institution with lots of support to ensure high graduation rates and finally a program with great coaching with a proven record of sending athlete to the Pros. I will bring my work ethic and God given size,strength an nimbe feet to help my team & teammates. I love pounding LBs and safeties to the ground. I am a tough and punshing type of lineman and enjoy muscling it up in the trenches!
