Collin Tamas Chri...My name is Collin Tamas and I am a Class of 2019 Kicker/Punter from Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, California. I was voted as an NCS All-League Honor this year, currently carry a 3.7 GPA and am ranked 51 on Chris Sailer Kicking. I am taking four AP courses this year to best prepare myself for college. I am also enrolled into the ROP Medical Program to prepare myself for Premed courses. NCAA # 1807237360.
My freshman year in high school, I broke my left leg in a soccer game that required six surgeries and extensive physical therapy. The orthopedic surgeons were not sure if I would be able to play competitive sports again. But with hard work and self determination, I overcame my injury within nine months. I revitalized my passion again in sports, and devoted myself to getting back onto the field. I work hard everyday, whether in the gym or kicking on the football field.
Despite my injury, I have been kicking for Amador every year I have been here. I am glad I have been able to contribute to the team's successes. After playing club soccer for 10 years, I decided to devote my full attention to get better at kicking/punting to help my football team. I would love to be able to compete at the college level, while getting a great education.
I receive kicking coaching from previous CAL Berkley kicker James Langford as well as ex Lou Groza Award Winner Thomas Weber of Arizona State. I am also attending several kicking camps this summer to perfect my skills.
My philosophy toward being the best kicker is "perfect practice makes perfect."
