Hi Coach!
I am the varsity kicker for San Clemente HS, will be a 2013 graduate - we play in the CIF PAC-5 conference which last year was ranked as one of the "Top 10" in America. Some notable schools in this conference: Mission Viejo, Servite, Santa Margarita, Mater Dei & Long Beach Poly. It is the highest conference in our state. We were CIF PAC-5 Finalists last year. Our team in 2011 had our highest "National Ranking" ever: #20 in Nation by MaxPrep's.
Individually I was awarded:
1st Team All South Coast League (2011, 2012)
1st Team ALL CIF PAC-5 (2011)
All County (2012)
I am currently "nationally" ranked by an independant evaluation as a "Top 12" kicker for my recruit class of 2013 (includes JC kickers as well) - Chris Sailer Kicking-Nike https://www.chrissailerkicking.com/player-profiles/2013/2327/PlayerProfile.html
This is my 3rd year on varsity and to date I have set the following SCHS records: most XP in a game (8), most consecutive XP in season (57), most consecutive XP in a career (110), most FG in a game (3), most kicking points in 1 game (15), most FG in season (9)
The 110 consecutive XP in a career; that is the new #1 record in the history of CIF (582 high schools) which has been keeping records since 1925. It is also the 3rd longest streak in the NATION in the history of high school football
My goal is to kick in NCAA D1. I not only work with a kicking trainer, I also work with specialists that are helping me not only increase my leg strength but also increasing the power of my kicking motion. I currently have 2 seperate and independant 3rd party evaluations and both have me as a 4.5 star out of 5 for not only kicking.....but punting as well. Chris Sailer Kicking and Kohl Kicking. Also, prior to the season begining the media members put together the "Top 100 players to watch" out of the 80 high schools in our county - it was the 1st time a kicker was ever put on the list - Bret Miller.
I have had the opportunity to visit campus's with my parents. I am getting a very good feel for different regions of the country as well as I am visiting as many colleges as I can and figuring out what I like and don't like: size, location, weather, degree's, etc.....
With having family from everywhere from the East, Mid-West & Pacific Northwest I have travelled quite a bit and I am open to most anywhere in the country to attend a University.
Thank you Coach for taking the time to read my statement - please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
All the best,
Bret
