Jake Newman '16 Recruiting Profile

My season has just concluded after making it to the County semi-final playoff game. I have been selected as our League’s Offensive Player of the Year, 1^st Team All League Running Back, San Diego Union Tribune Player of the Week, and have been selected to play in the San Diego 26^th Annual Alex Spanos All-Star Classic Football Game.  Even though I have spent my season as a running back, I am equally qualified as a slot or wide receiver. Please don’t let my size detour you from considering me, as I more than make up for that in athleticism and mental drive. In addition, I have played on our varsity team for three of my four high school years. I was selected the teams Varsity Most Valuable Player my junior year and I was the second highest rated defensive player, as a Free Safety, my sophomore year. My freshman year, I was selected for the Coaches Choice Award. I know I can be an asset to your program if given the opportunity.
