Andrew Chen '12 Recruiting Profile

My Name is Andrew Chen. I am an offensive/defensive lineman at Chaminade College Prep in West Hills CA. I am currently 6'4 275, still growing, and work hard in the weight room every day to increase my weight and strength. I play for head coach Ed Croson who went through the recruiting process countless times and has sent dozens of players to Division 1 football schools. My dream is to play football at a highly regarded Division 1 college. What I look for in a school is the football program: how the coaching staff is, the intensity of practice and of course the rate of improvement of the players and team as a whole. The academic prestige; A good communications major that I can hopefully use after my college career, and the work load environment. Lastly I want a good college environment where I feel comfortable. I prefer to attend a college close to the West Coast so my parents are able to go to some of my games and transportation back home would be easier. Whichever school I attend to the matter that I will do whatever I can to benefit the team. My team would expect nothing but hard work and dedication on and off the field.
