Just selected to the US Army All American Bowl as the West Kicker in San Antonio - 2015! Broke California State and County record for most Field Goals during High School Varsity Play.
My football career began my Freshman year in high school, the team needed a kicker, I tried out for the team, and the rest is history. Little did I know that playing the striker position in club soccer since I was 9 years old gave me the skills, passion, dedication, and the ability to perform in high pressure situations to become the high school varsity kicker I am today. Playing college football would be an extremely rewarding experience and offer a higher level of competition and challenge me.
I am the Varsity Kicker for the Westlake High School Warriors in Westlake Village, California and will be entering my third year as a starter on the varsity team. During my Sophomore year I set the Ventura County and Westlake High School record with 20 field goals, led the team with 90 points, selected as 1 of 3 finalists for the 2012 Herbalife Chris Sailer National Kicker of the Year Award, Max Preps ALL-State 1st Team, ALL-CIF Big Five, ALL-Marmonte League selection, LA Times All Area High School Football 1st Team, Brady Kelman Memorial Special Team Award, and 1st Team ALL- Ventura County.
My Junior year I was selected for Max Preps 2013 California Pre-Season All-State Team, All State Football Underclass 1st Team CAL-HI Sports, LA Times All-Area High School Football 1st Team, LA Daily News All-Area High School Football 1st Team and All-Marmonte League selection. In 2013 we also won the Marmonte League championship beating our rival, Oaks Christian in the last seconds of the game 39 to 36. Of the 39 points, 3 were field goals and 4 PAT’s. My Senior year I will be taking on the punting responsibilities in addition to kicking for the team.
Off season I play high school and club soccer to keep up my agility, leg strength and kicking skills. I run a 40 yard dash in 4.6 seconds. The past 2 years I have attended Chris Sailer kicking camps and was invited to the 2013 Underclassmen “Invite Only” Camp in Thousand Oaks, Ca. When I am not on the football field kicking footballs, you can find me at the gym on the leg press or teaching my little brother, Andrew, how to kick a football.
College and a college football program can prepare me for the future. Performing tasks like going to class, maintaining high grades, playing football, watching films, and staying conditioned requires a lot of responsibility and dedication. College would offer me the ability to stay organized, to remain focused and set the foundation for achieving my future goals. The preparation I receive on and off the football field are personal and professional skills that are needed to become successful in life and achieve all that I have dreamed.
