Personal Statement
For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of playing football in college. The first time I stepped onto a field when I was seven years old, I knew that this is what I wanted to do. I am willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen for me. I believe my dedication and commitment to the sport that I love will help make this dream a reality for me. I am hoping to major in business (sports marketing) or sports medicine. I have started every game on Varsity since I was a freshman. I played center my first two years and this year I was moved to guard. I was chosen as team captain this year and have been awarded first team all-conference for the last two years. This year, I also earned the award for offensive lineman of the year and academic all state.
I believe I would be an asset to any team because I am dedicated, passionate, and have a very strong work ethic. Every day, most times twice a day, I am in the weight room pushing myself to become stronger and faster. I may not be the biggest player on the line, but nobody will out hustle me. I leave everything I have on the field whether it be in a game or at practice. I also believe that I am very coachable and will play whatever position my coach decides to put me at to help the team. I am a very strong leader both on and off the field. My teammates trust me and I always try my hardest to do the right thing.
I am dedicated in the classroom as well. I'm very proud of my cumulative 3.5 GPA. Academics are very important to me because I know football may not always be there. I hope that you will consider me to be a part of your team in the future.
