Personal Statement
Through the sport of football, I’ve learned a lot about resilience and as cliché as it sounds, the importance of all the other guys on the team. I play quarterback and outside linebacker with the attitude that my first concern is the team. Regardless of my team role, I try to encourage others on the team when they aren’t doing their best. If I had to pick my favorite quarterback I would have to pick Tom Brady. He finds a way to win no matter what but what may be more impressive is that he is one of the G.O.A.T and came from such an underdog position.
Football has taught me the importance of working hard to accomplish your goals. I’ve been working with former NFL coach Steve Fairchild in the offseason and have tried to learn from every coach that has given me insight for improvement. Dub Maddox, a coach I worked with through NFA, says that the MVP is not the most valuable player, it’s the guy that makes the most players valuable. He’s the most motivating coach I’ve worked with.
My HS academic goal is to get between a 3.5 and 4.0 GPA and acquire an honors diploma. I plan to go to medical or business school when I graduate, and academics are important to me. If you want a quarterback that has the characteristics of leadership, compassion, coach-ability, integrity, football intelligence and a strong arm I hope you will consider me to lead your team.
