Personal Statement
I have a passion for football, where I think, breathe, and bleed football. I love being part of teams, whether it be sports, group volunteering and community outreach programs. I have been playing football for 6 years, beginning when I was 10 years old. I played my first two seasons back to back, where during the first season I was a starter on offensive, in which we won the championship, and I was chosen for the All Star team. During my second season, I was on offense and defense, which required incredible stamina. I was awarded Best Defensive Lineman, which was my silent goal. At this point, I gained my respect for being part of a team, and my love for the game.
I always desire to be active and I fulfill this desire by playing football, working out and lifting weights, and using free time to play other sports, ride my bike, and walking to places I need to go instead of driving. I aim to always help others, uplift spirits of those who are down, and including those who may not have many friends and feel like an outsider, in with my group of friends. I never give up, and I seek out feedback from coaches, family, and teammates in order to become a better player.
I made the goal to take dual credit classes for college my senior year and am currently taking one dual credit class this semester of my Sophmore year. I signed-up for the harder classes during my freshman year of high school. Adjusting to high school has been a challenge in some ways, but a rewarding challenge, because since I have set higher goals I must rise to meet the challenge, and I prefer it that way. I may stumble when I set the bar high, but without stumbling, I won't learn to overcome obstacles and how far I can rise. I want to continue playing football at the collegiate level and am open to attending any college that embraces football while demanding excellence in study. I desire to get my bachelor's degree in a field that prepares me for a career helping others be successful.
