Personal Statement
I am a 18 year old Colorado native who was born in Pueblo, CO and raised In Colorado Springs, CO . Football is my first love. I first became interested in football at a young age by the stories told to me by my father of his high school career and love for the sport. I was in second grade at this time and I could not wait to play the game so my father signed me up for peewee league. From that point on I fell even more in love with the game and I have played every year since my second grade year.
I have learned a lot about myself through these years of playing. I have learned that it's not about how big you are or how strong you are, it's about how much heart you put into every single play and what you are willing to do for your team to win. Hard work is the key to success. The people in my life that have brought me to who I am today are my mother and father always pushing me to be a respectful, well-rounded and disciplined young man. My grade school through middle school football coach pushed me through every conditioning day and taught me how the be a respectful and disciplined football player. Some of the things that have brought me to be who I am today is seeing how other classmates around me act and what the consequences for their actions are. I have also learned what I need to do to avoid the people who are constantly in trouble in life.
My academic goals for the rest of my high school career are to maintain a 4.3 GPA that I currently have through the year that I graduate high school while the ultimate goal is to be in the top 10% of my graduating class. I am currently in the to 3% for unweighted GPA and top 9% for weighted. My academic goals for college are to graduate with my bachelors degree in the pre medical field or biology. I then plan to go to medical school.
I have had to overcome many losses of loved ones through out my life. I recently lost one of my closest friends to an untimely death. Learning to walk through adversity and push through is paramount to success in life.
I am a natural leader and I lead by example. I think of others before myself. I live by my schools motto of "We Before Me". I am more then excited for every day that comes and I am ready to take each and every day head on no matter how hard it may be.
