Personal Statement
Starting my athletic career, I honestly didn't think I was going to pursue a future in sports of any type. However, as I started playing the sport of football, I realized how comfortable I was on the field. I found that one player can make an impact on the entire team for the better. My academics have always been held to the highest standard, hence the name Student-Athlete, where student always comes first. Football is where I feel most comfortable, surrounded by supportive coaches and teammates that I can rely on during adversity. I've also been involved with extra-curricular activities such as Boy Scouts and livestock shows, so I know what it's like to put in the work and defer gratification for a larger reward. I am an Eagle Scout, which takes an immense amount of dedication and responsibility to achieve. For my collegiate goals , I want to pursue a degree in Wildlife Biology or Outdoor Education to achieve my aspiration of working in the outdoors to protect wildlife and conserve our outdoor spaces. In addition, if college football opens up the opportunity to play professionally, I would absolutely take advantage of pursuing my passion. To your college football program, I would bring a high level of coach-ability, strong work ethic, and generosity of spirit to the program and my teammates. As a recruit, I bring a protective character, a high level of physical strength, and I am a consistent top performer academically.
