Personal Statement
Wherever I may go, I will always have the intentions of being the best and not accepting failure. In school, I am enrolled in advanced courses for all of my core classes not only because it looks good on my transcript, but because I enjoy the extra challenge. I'm the type of player that has never succumb to the peer pressures of high school such as drugs, drinking, or anything that breaks the law, because of how passionate I am about being successful. I realize doing anything stupid, no matter how slight it is, puts everything I've ever worked for in danger. For this reason, coaches and my teammates never have to worry about me doing anything that can jeopardize the intentions of the team as a whole. I can also absolutely guarantee any coach that I will be the hardest worker on the team, and if I'm asked to do something Ill do it without questioning. I will be the player to always run through every play and never quit during conditioning or strength training and be a role model for the rest of the players. I have no problem in becoming a leader that must make sure my teammates are doing the right thing as well. What I want most from my college experience is to be part of something special. I want to be able to look back at the times I've had with my coaches and teammates and be able to smile with no regrets. I will always expect victory no matter the circumstances and will fight with all my soul until its time to shake the other team's hand. Even if my team happens to face the number one ranked team in the nation or is down by a couple scores late, I will be excited for the challenge, because I believe that's where true champions are made. Most of all, I relish challenge and I always like to test myself to see how great I can be. I know that no coach will be able to find a student-athlete as committed and passionate as I am about succeeding.
